Partnerships at Centre Church
We are committed to partnering with both local and international organizations. Through prayer, short-term missions, and support, we work alongside these partners to equip and serve communities in need, both here in Canada and around the world. Together, we strive to make Jesus’ name known to all nations.
Athletes in Action Canada
Dave is originally from Abbotsford and studied business while attending Trinity Western University. God took him on a long journey after graduation of discerning where God was leading him. He felt called to full-time ministry in 2012 after coming back home from living in Australia for a year, but needed to go through a season of pruning and sanctification before stepping into his work with Athletes in Action. Dave is responsible for leading a national team of directors in the Sport Specific division that seeks to impact Canada and beyond through movements of evangelism and discipleship. His team does this through offering opportunities (camps, overseas tours, service projects, partnerships, etc.) for high performance athletes in volleyball, basketball, hockey, wrestling, soccer, and triathlons to encounter Christ personally and take steps of faith.
Centre Church’s ongoing support helps Dave and AIA equip their staff to meet, build relationships with, and encourage athletes to use their sport as an opportunity to glorify God. Dave serves the staff in a pastoral capacity and spends most of his time investing in those who are directly evangelizing and discipling athletes.
For more information, to help support, or to receive monthly newsletters please reach out to Dave. He would love to connect with you and hear your heart for making Jesus known in the world.
OUTREACH CANADA
Gord is originally from the Ottawa Valley and began to feel God call him toward mission in the last semester of his undergrad degree in Life Sciences at Queen’s University. After seminary training, he entered the adventure of campus ministry with its intense apologetics challenges. This started in Waterloo-Guelph, Ontario and then at University of British Columbia. Centre Church’s ongoing support helps he and his wife Ute (and their faculty partners) to bring God’s presence and the Christian voice and values to the secular university, while mentoring graduate students from around the globe for future leadership. Gord also builds a vision for discovering how our faith can engage late modern culture through blogging and his books. His most recent book was released Feb 2024, and his most video, Rethinking Identity Through the Lens of Incarnation can be viewed here.

Mission Fest Vancouver
Mission Central is the umbrella ministry of Mission Fest Vancouver, a historical Canadian missions conference. Our passion is to inspire great faith and hope by partnering with the supernatural life and person of Jesus. When the manifest presence of Jesus is among us, we are impacted by his redeeming, transforming love.
The heart of Mission Central is to partner with churches to host events united around the presence and mission of Jesus in the world. These events seek to co-labour with agencies and missionaries, to love Him, encounter Him, and be inspired to give ourselves to follow Him everywhere He leads. Times together centred on Jesus, with missionaries present, ignite an atmosphere where He becomes all.
DTES | Urban Chapel
Christ City Church aims to provide friendship, compassion and gospel hope to the most vulnerable people in our city. Heath Meikle works as an Urban Chaplain, working in the DTES alongside established ministry partners.
There are two key focuses for this ministry:
1. Volunteering at Jacob’s Well: Jacob’s Well has two core values of friendship and mutuality. Heath has a weekly rhythm of cooking, prayer and friendship building.
2. Volunteering at Union Gospel Mission as a transitional housing chaplain: In the role of chaplain, Heath walks alongside residents housed in UGM’s transitional housing program.
Guatemala
We’ve partnered with Prince of Peace: Home for Girls, a safe Christ-centred home for abused, abandoned, and neglected girls in Guatemala City. Prince of Peace strives to provide a safe, loving Christian home and focuses on the mental, physical, and spiritual needs of each girl. Their primary goal is for each girl to open their hearts and foster a life-long relationship with Jesus Christ.
INDIA
India is one of the most unreached countries in the world. With a population of over a billion people, only a fraction have heard the good news of Jesus. Child of Mine is an agency that works in North India to build and strengthen the church while providing for people’s physical and daily needs. More information about Child of Mine and their monthly sponsorship program is located here.
