The Centre Rentals and Events Support

Overview

Our building is available for rent for concerts, shows, dance performances, film festivals, company meetings, and other events. Many of these rentals need on-site staff, and we’re building a pool of subcontractors to fill these roles as events come up. We are looking for building oversight, ushers, stage door attendants, and building attendants on an event-by-event basis.

Responsibilities

We aim to welcome, help, and create great experiences for all our rentals as we represent Christ in a practical way to those who may not know that the Centre hosts church gatherings on Sundays.

 
The current open positions are as follows:
  • Building  Oversight: Responsible for the entire venue, oversees all team members, and direct contact between the venue, client and vendors. (Experience is required)
  • Team Lead: Ushers and Guest Services: Coordinate ushers, resolve customer service inquiries, work with event organizers and the rest of the Centre Staff (Stage Door and Facility) to ensure the event runs smoothly, and coordinate Security Staffing as needed. (Experience is required).
  • Stage Door Attendant: Ensure only authorized persons can access the building through our stage door entrance. (Experience is required)
  • Facilities Attendant: Ensure building setup and event teardown are covered and oversee maintenance/building-related issues. (Experience is required)

Qualifications

  • Previous customer service or event experience is an asset, but not required
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to remain calm and helpful in high-traffic situations
  • A positive attitude and willingness to help

Salary Range
$20 – $30/ hr, depending on role and experience
